Every month there are ‘outreach’ campaigns from Nampundwe to bring immunisations and health education to the outlying villages.

In July 2007, A measles campaign was ran and they managed to treat 2,688 children in one week!
This exceeded target by 148%.

With our support, they covered twelve villages and treated the children for Vitamin A deficiency and worms too.

At each village they provided a health education package and covered the topics of Pregnancy and Birth, Diarrhoea and Dehydration, Contraception, Hygiene, Sanitation, Fever, Care of the Sick and Tetanus.

As this is a useful tool to reach people with Health Education, we intend to maintain our connection with the monthly clinic and support their outreach as an ongoing commitment.
