The Future

One unsuspected and
tremendous side effect from becoming involved with the Community Health
Workers and Traditional Birth Attendants was that we have been donated
the use of a massive patch of land at Shamulumba from the headman
there. Aaron Chikambasa heard of the objects of the Lemon Tree Foundation, and had seen that by donating the use of this land, crops can be grown, not only to use to support orphans and clinic work financially, but to be able to grow the very crops like lavender and tea tree which can be used therapeutically for the local community. The Community Health Workers, Nurses and Traditional Birth Attendants will be taught and assessed with their use. On top of that, we will be able to encourage local employment. |

Our mission statement of: “To improve the lives of the poor in the rural community of Nampundwe, Zambia by sponsorship and supporting health promotion and education” is based on James 1:27 “Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for the orphans and widows in their trouble, and refuse to let the world corrupt us”
